Lata has sung the lyrics of Indeewar beautifully. This particular song “main to bhool chali babul ka desh pitya ka ghar pyaara lage” is a song based on the folk dance of Gujarat. It had one memorable song after another appearing in the movie at regular intervals while one watched the movie, which few people did. The movie itself created no ripples, but its songs certainly did. This lead actors in this movie were Nutan and Manish (who?) and it was a Black and white movie in an era when colour movies had become the vogue. “Saraswati Chandra” is not a movie that too many people remember now.
